mY NOT SO HOME IMPROVEMENTS.
25th February 2025
I have almost, kind of, nearly finished my home.
I wanted to do a really quick job of just getting the place decorated, I spend so much time at home, I wanted it to look beautiful and when I was hear, just to be able to relax and create and make and write.
I love interior decoration and making sure that the cushion is on the sofa just right. I love when the hoover has just been run round and everything is so neat. And I can sit down and watch one of my shows and have have lovely cup of tea in one of my carefully curated mugs.
I planned this so well, making sure that I chose the right wallpaper, I really wanted this to last for a long time.
Yeah that will be three years in august now that I hired someone to come and do the kitchen, turns out wallpapering is hard, it is also quite hard to find anyone that wants to help with it, because it is such a frustration. I paid a lady to do the kitchen so I could watch her and then thought confidently I can do that! So I am so glad I undertook this project! Honestly, yo would think I had done some major reconstruction. Its a one bed flat FFS! But lack of funds, and someone sabotaging my wallpapering, but moving all my light switches and plug sockets whilst I had my back turned pasting my paper. Has led me to live in a place which resembles an old garage combined with an aisle in a hardware store. I worked it out, It will be three years since the kitchen got done in a few months. Three years. And the wall paper is fading and I sill haven't finished off the living room. Anyway I think that this has been a very useful, if at times depressing and obstacle ridden way to live. I can see an end to it. I have leapt into action the last few days. I need a spot to write and when I am not writing I need to be able to relax, have the doors open, let the sun in. I have deflated my yoga ball!!! Which I think I inflated about two years ago. I have gained now exercise from it what so ever, other than the frustrated way I have moved it from one spot to another and the inflation of it itself was quite hard work. Not to self no more exercise item!!! Nice idea, waste of money! You want to do a press up, there is a floor which can now been seen a little better since the absence of the gigantic inflatable object which was taking over a lease 1/4 of my sq feet! It was amazing, I just made a decision and then did and suddenly I have much more room. So i just need to do that about 347 more times and my home will resemble something I would actually invite people round to. Well done me!
